MAINTENANCE INSPECTIONS
AM I DOING THIS RIGHT?
Your home is your biggest investment so maintaining it is an absolute must. If you take care of your home, it will in turn take care of you. For the average homeowner, home maintenance can feel like a real pain. Most new home owners have never seen a water heater up close, cleaned a gutter or even looked under a sink but, it doesn’t have to feel overwhelming.
Just because you don't know how to fix it doesn't mean it wont get fixed.
Maintenance inspection vs home inspection; what's the difference? The difference is the inspector works for the owner rather than the buyer. The average homeowner has lived in their residence between 5 & 10 years. So consider this a long overdue checkup with the house doctor. Just like a check up, a maintenance inspection will prioritize a home improvement check list which identifies minor problems in the home before they become a major headache.
But in some cases, the maintenance inspection can reveal what was thought to be a small problem, which in fact could be a major hazard to the life expectancy of the home. This will give the homeowner an opportunity to remediate & restore their home to a healthy condition for years to come.
